Samsung Electronics is preparing to stop selling home appliances and televisions in China before the end of this year, according to a report by Japan’s Nikkei newspaper. The report revealed that the company could reach a final decision as early as the end of April. If approved, Samsung would begin winding down sales of products including televisions, refrigerators, washing machines and air conditioners in the Chinese market. Transcorp Power Plc Reports ₦29.7 Billion Profit In Q1 2026 As Revenue Declines To ₦94.6 Billion
Transcorp Power Plc has reported a profit after tax of ₦29.70 billion for the first quarter (Q1) ended March 31, 2026, representing a decline from ₦32.64 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2025, as revenue and operating performance moderated. The company’s unaudited financial statements showed that revenue fell by 10.3 percent to ₦94.59 billion from ₦105.44 billion in Q1 2025. Diagnostic accuracy among clinical health workers in Nigeria’s public health facilities has declined, dropping from 56.2 per cent in 2023 to 46.1 per cent in 2025, a new report shows.
