Businessman and socialite, Farooq Oreagba, once again emerged as one of the major attractions at the 2026 Ojude Oba Festival after making a dramatic horseback entrance at the annual cultural celebration in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

Oreagba, a capital market executive, arrived at the festival in elegant traditional attire complemented by matching accessories, drawing loud cheers from spectators as he rode into the arena.

His appearance, which was widely captured in photographs and videos, quickly generated buzz on social media, with many users describing it as regal, stylish and unforgettable.

However, moments after Oreagba completed his parade, another rider entered the arena — his son, Jamal Oreagba.

Like his father, Jamal made a striking appearance on horseback, earning admiration from festival-goers and social media users alike.

The father-and-son display soon became one of the most talked-about moments of the festival, with many praising their confidence, fashion sense and cultural pride.

Reacting on X, a user identified as #EmekaEzeanya wrote, “Farooq Oreagba rode back into Ojude Oba like a Yoruba god! Same horse, upgraded steeze. Baba no dey age, he dey upgrade. The king of drip has entered the chat and shut it down.”

Similarly, #JustAmof wrote, “Farooq Oreagba don turn Ojude Oba to annual ‘Steeze Olympics’ at this point. Person wey survived cancer still dey ride in with confidence, full agbada, dark shades and premium composure.”

Commending Oreagba’s role in promoting Yoruba culture, #ViktorClipz posted, “Well displayed, he’s doing a massive job preserving the culture of his forefathers.”

annually on the third day after Eid-el-Kabir, remains one of Nigeria’s foremost cultural events, attracting thousands of participants and spectators from within and outside the country.

The festival traditionally brings together politicians, business leaders, celebrities and members of the Ijebu diaspora to celebrate culture, unity and loyalty to the traditional institution.

This year’s edition is being held without a substantive Awujale on the throne, following recent developments surrounding the revered traditional stool.
